Swysh Forward Foundation Inc is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity founded by Steve Moses, Founder & CEO of Swysh Den Basketball. It exists alongside Swysh Den with a distinct, focused mission of its own.
Swysh Den Basketball opened in Scottsdale to give local athletes a training facility built specifically for the game. As the community around it grew, so did a simple observation: basketball was doing more than building better players — it was giving kids a place to be seen, supported, and heard. Swysh Forward Foundation was founded to take that piece of the mission further, reaching families who may never set foot in a Swysh Den membership tier.
The Foundation operates as its own registered 501(c)(3) public charity, distinct from Swysh Den's membership business, so that contributions go directly toward community programming rather than facility operations.
To use basketball as a vehicle to promote mental health and wellbeing in our community — funding scholarships, mentorship, and mental-health programming so that every young athlete can take part, regardless of their family's circumstances.
We use basketball to open the door to conversations about mental health that don't happen anywhere else in a young athlete's day.
Financial circumstances should never decide whether a kid gets to play, compete, and belong on a team.
Events like our 3x3 Charity Tournament and Community Day exist to bring families together, not just to run a bracket.
Our programming is held to the same coaching and mental-performance standard as Swysh Den's own athletes.
Founder & CEO of Swysh Den Basketball and founder of Swysh Forward Foundation. Steve started the Foundation to extend Swysh Den's mission of mental health and player development into the wider Scottsdale community.
Swysh Forward Foundation's work runs alongside Swysh Den's own Mental Performance Certificate Program, so the same standard of support shows up both on Swysh Den's courts and in the community. Learn more about the Foundation's page on SwyshDen.com.
Sponsorships and donations fund the programming that makes this mission possible.
